Bidet Installation With Clear Answers Before Work Begins
Bidets have moved from a luxury to a practical, everyday upgrade that more and more Orlando homeowners are choosing for comfort, hygiene, and long-term savings. Whether you're adding a bidet seat to an existing toilet, installing a standalone bidet, or hooking up a handheld sprayer, the installation needs to be done correctly to avoid leaks, water pressure issues, or electrical problems down the line.
Lapin Services has been handling plumbing installations across Central Florida since 1958. Our licensed plumbers know how to route supply lines cleanly, handle T-valve connections without stress, and make sure your new bidet works perfectly from day one. We handle all the details so you don't have to — just tell us what you have, and we'll get it installed right.
Problems We Solve
Common Bidet Installation Problems We Fix
You do not have to diagnose the problem yourself. These are common issues we help confirm, explain, and repair.
DIY Install Left a Slow Leak
A bidet T-valve or supply line that isn't seated or tightened correctly will drip — sometimes so slowly it goes unnoticed for weeks. Water damage under or behind a toilet can be expensive to remediate.
Existing Supply Line Won't Reach
Many older bathrooms have short supply lines that aren't long enough to accommodate a bidet T-valve or handheld sprayer connection. A plumber can replace the line with the correct length without damaging the shutoff valve.
Water Pressure Too High or Low
Bidets operate best within a specific water pressure range. Homes with unusually high or low pressure may need an adjustment to avoid weak spray or uncomfortable force — something a plumber can assess and correct during installation.
No Nearby Electrical Outlet
Heated bidet seats and smart bidet units require a grounded outlet near the toilet. Many bathrooms don't have one in the right location, which requires a licensed electrician or a combined plumbing and electrical solution.
Toilet Not Compatible with Bidet Seat
Some elongated or non-standard toilet shapes don't pair well with off-the-shelf bidet seats. A professional can identify compatibility issues before you purchase and suggest the right fit for your toilet.
When to Call
Signs Your Plumbing System Needs Professional Attention
If you notice any of these signs, call Lapin. We will find the cause and explain what needs to happen next.
You Just Purchased a Bidet
If you have a bidet or bidet seat in the box and aren't confident in the installation, calling a plumber is the fastest way to get it running correctly — and to avoid a leak that voids your product warranty.
Your Previous DIY Install Is Leaking
Even a minor drip at a supply line connection should be addressed right away. Water behind or under a toilet can damage flooring and subfloor without being visible until it's already a major problem.
You're Remodeling Your Bathroom
A bathroom remodel is the ideal time to add a bidet — especially if you're updating your toilet or plumbing rough-in anyway. Adding it during a remodel is almost always easier and less expensive than adding it later.
Your Bidet Spray Isn't Working Right
If a recently installed bidet has weak pressure, uneven spray, or temperature control that doesn't work, the installation may not have been completed correctly. A plumber can diagnose and fix it quickly.
You Want to Add a Bidet to Multiple Bathrooms
If you're upgrading several bathrooms at once, professional installation ensures all units are properly connected, leak-free, and working the same way throughout your home.

FAQs
Bidet Installation FAQs
Do I need to buy the bidet before calling you, or can you supply one?
You’re welcome to supply your own bidet, and we’re happy to install it. If you’d like a recommendation before purchasing, our technicians can advise on units that work well with your existing toilet and water pressure.
How long does bidet installation typically take?
Most bidet seat or handheld sprayer installations take one to two hours. A standalone bidet installation with new plumbing rough-in will take longer — we’ll give you an estimate upfront.
Do I need an electrical outlet near the toilet for a bidet?
Basic bidet seats and handheld bidets don’t require electricity. Heated seats, dryers, and smart bidet units do require a grounded outlet nearby — if you don’t have one, we can refer you to a licensed electrician.
Will a bidet installation affect my water pressure or bills?
A properly installed bidet uses very little water — far less than toilet paper production — and shouldn’t noticeably affect household water pressure. We check your existing pressure during installation to make sure the unit operates correctly.
Can a bidet be installed on any toilet?
Most standard round and elongated toilets are compatible with bidet seats. Some one-piece or non-standard toilets have clearance or mounting issues — we’ll confirm compatibility before you purchase anything.
What if the installation causes a leak later?
Our installations are backed by a satisfaction guarantee. If you experience a leak or issue related to our work, call us and we’ll fix it.
Can you install a bidet in a commercial or office bathroom?
Yes — we handle commercial bidet installations for offices, medical practices, and multi-unit buildings. We’ll work around your schedule to minimize disruption.
Is it worth hiring a plumber instead of doing it myself?
For simple handheld sprayer installations, many homeowners manage fine on their own. For bidet seats with water line connections, or if you have any uncertainty, a professional installation typically costs less than repairing a leak that causes water damage.
